How Positive Thinking Changed My Life!

Growing up I was around nothing but negative people.
No matter how hard I tried I could not see the positive that " happy " people seemed to see int he world.

As an adult I was known to not be a very nice person. I do not have a filter on my mouth for the most part. However that was not something that came to be until after my former in laws came into my life. Lord knows they changed me , for the better or at least that's how I like to see it.
I was a doormat growing up and now well now I am me!

I have lived through so much negative things in my life. I never knew what being positive would change.

Until 2013 when my husband left for school and I was left alone for most of the day. I decided to start watching The Real House Wives Of Atlanta. I had never seen this show before and hey don't judge I was bored out of my mind.

I never thought that it would change my life the way it did.
I heard the " Ask Believe Receive " method that Kim Zolciak ( now  Kim Zolciak Biermann ) talked about.
It brought me to where I am now. Hearing her speak about everything she believes in.
( Though I do not agree with some of her past actions. I will not go down the rabbit whole so don't post crazy negative things on my blog or facebook page about her )

Lead to my researching how the Power Of Positive Thinking can change your life.

At that point I was not ready to truly take hold of the power of positive thinking as I was facing a custody battle and so much drama.

That did not stop me from reading everything, I could find online about those whose lives have changed. From the positive thinking theory. People from all walks of life , all over the world have changed their lives. It wasn't until  half way through a custody battle.

I sat down one day while I was trying to figure out what I could do. I was sitting on my living room floor when it hit me.
I needed to change my life, for myself , for my husband and for my kids.
I knew that moment what I needed to do.

I got online and again started my search of everything positive thinking related.

I started with the first step that everyone has to take.
I decided that I would never again be a negative person.
I would not allow it to mess up my life.
I was going to take control of my life, and that all starts with keeping my positive thinking.

From there the next step was to clear out my life.
Removing all of the negative people that I had filled my life with and once I did. Things not only changed some but my whole life changed. I won my custody battle, I was a happier person. I am a better mom, and I found my happy positive friends. Who honestly made life so much better. I was so unhappy about not having friends was honestly a huge issue.
Not only does my positive attitude make my life better but I have seen it change my friends. Helping them learn the power of positive thinking.

There are so many books, blogs, videos on the power of positive thinking. I can't even list them all so I will just say google!!

Your mind set matter each and every day. If you wake up with a positive mind set then positive things will happen.
With a negative mind set you will only bring negative things into your life. It is a process getting up every day and forcing your self to have a positive mind set but it is so worth it.

Nothing worth having is ever easy but with a simple change to your life. You would be amazed at the things that will happen.

So as for me .... I will keep things positive and believe that good thing will happen as they have been so far.

Shaking The Dust Out!

What is happiness to you?

Smiling in every picture?
A house full of children's laughter?
Making a lot of money?
Exploring the world around you?
Having a large home?

.... Today there are so many different ways to be happy and no matter what some people think.
Happiness doesn't have to look the same to everyone.

We all have our own personal goals that we want to reach and that is not only okay but it is a wonderful thing.

Who really wants to live in a world where we were all the same boring people trying to living the same boring lives?

I know I wouldn't!

So right now I challenge you, YES! you.
To get up and do one thing that makes you truly happy.
No matter how silly it might be, or how much other people might try to judge you for it.
The heck with the rest of the world.

Happiness is NOT going to wait on you to be in the right place in your life. It is right here, right now no matter where you are or what you are doing.

So take a hold of it and call it your own.

For me, Happiness is driving in my car, with my three crazy kids.
Singing and dancing like crazy people.

The heck with other driver looking at me like I am crazy. Or laughing at us for being silly.

So that is what I am off to do today.

My happiness MATTERS!!
 and
So Does Yours!

Failing To Stick To My Goals

One Year Almost Gone!

Yup almost a year ago I was sitting on my laptop and trying to figure out what My goals list would be.

Yet I can honestly say that I put way too much on myself and I know very clearly where I failed.

My business , my blog and my career goals have all taken a hit.

I did how ever reach some of my goals in the past year.

I now have an amazing baby boy who is about 3 month old.
After a very long and hard pregnancy.
He was born 6 weeks early and had to stay in the NICU for 12 of the longest days of my life.

My children and I have gotten deeper in our faith.
They entered into a Catholic school satellite program and they are so in love with there school this year.

I have been working so hard to be a better mom. I know that no matter how great of a parent you think you are there is always room for improvement. I have been reading so much about the things that I know are coming like having a pre teen! Oh my, I am scared but I know that this stage will be like all the others.

It will take time, communication and patience.
With one day at a time I think my husband and I can make it through.

I have enjoyed along with my daughter so many new recipes.
We have spent so much time in the kitchen.
In the past year  and she loves getting to spend one on one time with me.

I have so many things on my list from last year  that I did not get to complete. Mostly having to do with my career and business. I am like every stay at home working mom out there. I want to be able to have my career but it's hard to do it all. I never thought that it would be this hard however I know that I need to get my life back on schedule.

I need to once again set my goals for 2017.
I know that it is not the end of 2016 as of yet but it couldn't hurt to start on my list now.

So here I go starting my list and seeing if I can get it completed by December 31st 2017.
Who doesn't love a little head start on a to do list.

The Never Ending List!

I am one of those people, I make a list of every goal that I could ever have.

Once a year I make my huge list of goals for the year to come.
I go through marking off each and every goal I hit on my list no matter how big or small the goal might be.
Once each one has been completed to see the list grow shorter and shorter makes my heart smile.
I start writing my list in November for the following year as it is the time to be Thankful and lets be honest I like having things to be thankful for.
Today is the day that I started my list for the coming year. I am not saying I will hit all of my goal but I work my hardest to reach every goal I have.

To start off you need to know that my list of goals are not in any way limited to my career.
It can be anything that I have want in my life in this next year.

No matter what it is, I put it on my list.

This year I decided to do something I have never done before.
I am going to post my list on here for all the world to see.

Unlike all the years before this I will not have a few things I always try to do.

I am sad to admit that I have have 2 things on my list that honestly I can not control but I try every year.
Even with my training I know I can not do these things yet every year I add them.

The things I can never do but always try to do are. To change the lives of 3 of my " best friends " I will admit maybe the word best friends is not the correct words. I know that everyone in the Life Coaching business has that one person that they would love to help. Love to in a sense help change their lives, push the to reach their goals. Yet all attempts fail.

I can not make people do anything, I can not make people have goals, reach for their goals or even coming up with their own true goals.
I am not their mommy nor am I any of my client list.

Yet every year I find myself trying.
It has been 10 years of trying both as a life coach and as just a friend and well sadly that was my first lesson as a Life Coach.

You can not change anyone! Unless they want and are ready for a change.

Keep an eye out for my goal list!

Your life goals matter!

There are things in life we all have dealt with and yes they suck from time to time. However you just have to pick your self up shake of the crappy mood life has put you in and get back to it.

There is no reason you should be living a life that you are not 100% happy with.

Life is too short to be unhappy and you have to get to living!

Yes I know things happen and sometimes we feel like there is nothing that can be done.

That we were born into a life style that has us trapped, that we don't have the money to make any changes. That we are just trying to keep our head above water.

Well let me tell you right now those days are over!!

You have goals in life, you have the drive to get there and you don't need anyone but your self to reach those goals.

If you don't believe in your self than who will?

Well I will!

I will kick your butt in gear and give you the tools to succeed in life!
All it takes it hard work and knowing what your goals are.
I'm not perfect by far!
I am not promising you the world on a silver platter.
